A new Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant was constructed on a brown field site beside the existing SKS Prai power plant in Prai, Butterworth, Penang in Peninsular Malaysia. The Plant shall be designed for dual fuel firing, whereby natural gas (“Gas”) is assumed to be the primary fuel and distillate oil the secondary fuel (“Back-up Fuel”).
The scope of work included design, manufacturing, testing and supply of a two stage fuel oil (Distillate Oil) treatment system: one, a filtering skid and the second, a coalescing skid. Both skids were on a one working, one standby design (duplex type) complete with instrumentation and interconnecting piping for plug and play at site.
