About Us
In the year 1982, a young Chartered Engineer (AMIE) armed with inspection experience from a large earth moving machinery manufacturer (including an international assignment to indigenize mobile cranes) and production experience from a small process equipment fabricator, established Sungov as a precision machine shop catering to the close tolerance conventional machining needs of customers in Madras (now Chennai), India. The mission of the company, then and now, is essentially the same:
Delight customers by solving their problems with quality solutions.
Today, the company solves customers’ problems with a wide range of solutions that include Fluid Treatment Products (Filtration & Separation Products), Quick Open Closures, Pressure Vessel & Heat Exchangers, Modular Engineered Process Skids and Engineering Services. Further, a dedicated R&D team and facilities continually work on engineering solutions for various applications.

2001 – ISO 9001 Certification achieved

2002 – A Joint Venture company established in Malaysia to cater to Southeast Asian market

2002 – Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA) CRN accreditation achieved

2006 – A Cartridge filter manufacturing company and its assets acquired to diversify into process filtration
2010
2010 – Clean room facility to manufacture cartridge filter element and coalescer elements established

2012 – Commitment to Quality: ASME U & NB Certificates of Authorization achieved

2013 – Sungov Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a 100% subsidiary established; Quick Open Closures portfolio launched

These quality, safety and environmental accreditations coupled with inhouse design and R&D has facilitated Sungov’s offerings to be installed in over 35 countries worldwide.
